Georgia School District Named Among The 'Best School Districts In America'

Deciding which school is best for your child can be a daunting task. Where young students attend school can help prepare them for higher education in college, get them ready to enter the workforce or simply assist in planning their future. Of course, some school districts are better equipped for this, whether through receiving more funding, having stronger community support or not experiencing overcrowding and teacher shortages.

According to a list compiled by Niche, one school district in Georgia was named among the "top school districts in America." Coming in at No. 22 overall, Buford City Schools, serving the area of Buford, earned an overall A+ rating with A+ in nearly all categories. The top rated public school has 5,946 students in pre-K and K-12 with a student-teacher ratio of 18 to 1. Additionally, "70% of students are at least proficient in math and 65% in reading."

Niche determined its ranking of the top school district in the country "based on rigorous analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with test scores, college data, and ratings collected from millions of Niche users." Factors considered in the rankings include academics, culture & diversity, resources & facilities, clubs & activities, sports, teachers and parent/student surveys on overall experience.
